The Center for Technical Training (CTT) founded by BRASIF Companies in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte has a very special mission: to give hundreds of boys a better future. A mix of social assistance and professional training program, CTT supports, assists and, through technical instruction, turns young people into citizens and technicians who will make Brazil´s future. Besides CTT, BRASIF also created, in Rio de Janeiro, the CTA, whose control was transferred when BRASIF sold its retail operations (Duty Free and BRASIF Shopping). At CTA, students learn commerce and management notions. The results in both centers are impressive: virtually one hundred percent of those young students find jobs. BRASIF also has projects that are going to be implemented in all other locations where the company keeps its operations. Soon, those communities will also be benefit by the company´s efforts.

At CTT, students learn basic mechanics, which opens them a way into the job market. With all classes in the morning, students have plenty of time in the afternoons for doing their school homework.

As a complement to professional education, students watch lectures on themes such as sexually transmitted diseases, drugs, citizenship and socialization. The center provides students with complete uniforms, medical and dental care, health and life insurance, breakfast and lunch.
